According to Samsung, Galaxy Tab will be landing in Australia in the month of November through all major mobile phone carriers. This Android-powered device will be available for purchase outright for $999 for the 16GB model.
At the Australian launch, myriad of newspapers will be available for the device. The company says plans are underway for the Australian developers who wish to develop for the Galaxy Tab or for the Galaxy S Smartphone. The Galaxy Tab includes gyroscope, geo-magnetic, accelerometer and is easy to carry around. Unlike the recently announced Playbook and iPad, it runs Android OS that is being used in variety of smartphones and tablets. Prices for the iPad start at A$630 and go up to A$1050
