OS X Mountain Lion supported models

Apple is now seeding the golden master build of the OS X Mountain Lion to the developers and the company has finalized which 64 bit Mac models will be excluded from the upcoming version of the Apple desktop OS. The models that are supported include:

– iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
– MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
– MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
– MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer)
– Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer)
– Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)
– Xserve (Early 2009)

OS X Mountain Lion supported models

If you model is not here, Apple says that the GPU that were used in 64 bit Macs are now no longer supported. They were deprecated before the 64 bit KEXTs were in common use and were never updated from the original 32 bit KEXTs.
