The OnePlus One was officially unveiled at an event today. The company was founded OnePlus just last December and was able to build a huge hype about the smartphone in a short time. Whether pretentious promises can be kept, we will have to see. If the proclaimed price of 269 euros, and the built-in hardware you look, then skepticism is certainly appropriate.
The technical specifications were announced in advance, only the design was still unknown. Thus, the smartphone has a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Thanks to a very narrow frame, it should be comparable in size with the Samsung Galaxy S5. The weight should be only 162 grams, making it 17 grams heavier than the Galaxy S5. The Snapdragon processor is Qualcomm and 801, there are 3 GB of RAM, a 13 megapixel camera on the back with six lenses and a 3,100 mAh battery strong. Also on board are of course also WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE. In the graph below we see the technical data in comparison with the Galaxy S5:
Two other features: The device runs with CyanogenMod11S. CyanogenMod is a descendant of the developed free Google Android operating system, which was created by the Android community and is well maintained. The CyanogenMod offers additional features for the supported devices against the supplied firmwares. And the back of the OnePlus One can be equipped with various so-called "StyleSwap" covers. Thus, the smartphone can be individually decorated with a back made of bamboo, wood, jeans or Kevlar.
The device will also be available in the second quarter in Germany. The price should be at 269 euros for the version with 16 GB and 299 euros for the internal model with 64 GB of memory.
