The Intel Core i3 2370M is a dual core CPU that is meant for mainstream and big size notebooks. It runs at 2.4GHz clock speed. Unlike Core i5 and i7 processors, it cannot overclock as turbo boost feature has been deactivated in Core i3 series processors. It has two cores capable of handling four threads simultaneously.
Since the i3 2370m is based on sandy bridge architecture, it comes onboard with the Intel HD 3000 graphics. TDP of the CPU is 35 watts since it is a full voltage processor. Other specs include 3MB L3 cache, 0.5MB L2 cache, HyperThreading, AVX, Quick Sync, Virtualization and 64 bit OS support. Here are its benchmark results:
1) Cinebench R10: Rendering Multiple CPUs 64Bit – 8663
2) Cinebench R10: Rendering Single CPUs 64Bit – 3787
3) 3DMark Vantage: P CPU no PhysX 1280×1024 – 7792
4) 3DMark 06: CPU – 2871
In comparison, the AMD A6 4455m got 2602 in the Cinebench R10 (Rendering Single CPUs 64Bit) benchmark test.
