Acer launched P3 back in the month of June and folks at pcwatch Japan were able to get their lucky hands on it. They have not only done a review of it, but also have given good coverage on its bluetooth keyboard cover. Unfortunately, their review is in Japanese. So, consider this review as a short summary of their review.

Intel Core i3 3229Y benchmark
The processor is i3 3229Y which is based (cpudistro.com) on Ivy Bridge architecture. It runs at 1.4GHz clock speed and is backed by 2 cores / 4 threads. It has energy saving 3MB cache and TDP of 13 watts. In the PCMARK7 benchmark test, it scored 3329 points. Here is the screenshot of it.
Crystalmark benchmark gave decent score too.
ALU 22275, FPU 20761, MEM 21387, HDD 42080, GDI 7897, D2D 1064, OGL 3088. And here is the windows experience index – Processor 5.5, memory 5.5, graphics 4.6, Gaming graphics 6.1 Primary hard disk 8.1. Here is its screenshot.
Acer P3 Battery Life
Acer aspire P3 comes pre loaded with Acer power management utility, which to be honest is a gimmick rather than a true power saving feature. It lets you turn on and off USB device. Battery life is between 6-7 hours with normal usage which is pretty good for a Core i3 power processor.
Acer P3 Bluetooth keyboard cover
The tablet comes with a bluetooth keyboard cover that adds a hardware keyboard. It weighs 560 grams, bringing the total weight to 1347 grams (tablet + keyboard cover). This is how it looks like.
A picture from the back of it. The outer surface has a black matte finish to it that adds some class to it.
The screen of the Acer tablet is excellent, chiefly due to the fact that is uses IPS technology. It measures 11.6 inches and supports up to 10 touch points simultaneously. Unlike the Vaio Duo 11 though, you get a HD display not full HD. But then, full HD on a 11.6 inch screen would be overkill. At the back, you will find a 5 megapixel camera.
Acer P3 Review Summary
It is an excellent tablet, but the company could have rewarded it with more RAM. Had it come with Atom processor, 2GB RAM would have sounded fine, but since we have a pretty powerful CPU inside there, I wish it came with 4GB RAM. That said, the unit is quite speedy and would let you do your everyday tasks just fine, and more. [via] (Japanese)
