In May, we spotted a mysterious tablet called Ideapad A5000. Well, that tablet has just been released in China with a price tag of $350. It is very similar to Lenovo Ideapad A3000 but has dual SIM function and can do phone calls.
The processor being used in Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (Snapdragon MSM8625Q) that has an operating frequency of 1.2GHz and has Adreno 203 GPU. It is nice that Lenovo opted for Qualcomm instead of Mediatek processors that yield low performance.
Specs include 7-inch IPS with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels (16:9), 1GB of LPDDR2 RAM, 16GB of internal memory, WiFi 802.11b/g/n , 2G/3G Dual SIM with phone capabilities, GPS and A-GPS and Bluetooth 3.0. There are two cameras, from 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and 0.3 megapixel front camera, a micro USB 2.0 OTG port, a slot for microSD cards (up to 64GB) and audio jacks. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Battery life is pretty good, thanks to its internal 3650mAh battery that delivers 9 hours of runtime. It weighs 240 grams and measures 194 x 120 x 11 mm. There is no HDMI port.
